Makamae, can you believe this? Mom wasn’t in time to get me my mouse back and she told me to pipe down and have a mango. Want some?

Comet

I’ve been across the street helping our 80 year old neighbor since she had surgery last week. Her windows don’t overlook our place but the edge of our yard. Yesterday I heard Comet barking stepped up to the front door to see what was so “barkable” then saw a man running down the road and thought “Oh Comet’s barking at a jogger.” I had just stepped away from the door when I heard Comet cry out. I opened the door to see our yard and was stunned to see the man in our front yard holding a Pit Bull. I ran to get my shoes then ran across the street. Ken was holding Comet checking him for bites and the guy was just standing there with the Pit Bull. Our gates are kept locked and at first I just couldn’t get over that there was a Pit Bull in our front yard. Comet is shaken up but fine. The Pit Bull had a slightly bloody tongue. Ken broke up the fight and did so without getting bitten himself. Ken really saved Comet the other guy was too chicken to step up and grab his own dog. It was absolutely horrible. Today I am grateful for so many things, that Comet is alright, that Ken didn’t get harmed, that little Kea’we wasn’t outside, that the Pit Bull didn’t come in the dog door and get cat happy. I’m grateful that no one was at the park across the street, like there was a half hour later, with their dog and two year old baby. IMG_4820

It is Super Bowl Sunday and it is Freezing outside. I put on my mittens and went out for a quick skate on what my Mom calls our intermittent pond. It is supposed to be a drainage easement but it sure doesn't drain much. But that is OK with all of us it gives us water to play in when ever we get a good rain and for the first time we had three inches of rain yesterday then an inch of snow and the temperature dropped to 22 F last night. Here are some photos of the my Olympic Style Skating and the ice. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I'm having a Super Bowl Party and everyone is invited. If you are Saints fans or Colts fans it just doesn't matter. I'm Super Kitty and there is no prejudice here! I personally am torn between wanting the Colts to win. Colts - it's another animal. Or the Saints, New Orleans has been through so much and this would be such a morale booster for them. Although my interest in geology wants them to rebuild their city farther from the coast, it's a squishy delta.... Never mind that. This is about having fun!
Come On Over and let's Yowl until the sun comes up!

Going to need some cash to buy my SUPER BOWL PARTY supplies. Ever since that bale of "catnip" on E-bay, that wasn't really catnip Mom took my credit card away.

OK Let's get some ono grinds for the Super Bowl party of the Century!

They always put the vegetables first in the store. Why? They should put the Fish first. Mom is a vegetarian. Hmmmm, tomatoes, she's allergic - no - I'll play that card the next time she says she's going to give me a bath. I do have a mean streak!

Here we go Carrots the perfect food for Moms and rabbits.

Dad likes these Doritos chips but they never have the ones he really likes, those Smokey ones. I hope these will due. I'll get a lot of them because I know he can eat a bunch at one time. Crunch, crunch, crunch... it makes it so hard to sleep in his lap with all that noise!

These weren't on my grocery list but look at them: They're baked, not fried, Fish so they must have Omega 3's, they have Cheese so they must have Calcium and Protein. I can't even imagine a healthier food. Mom will be proud of this food choice!

Some Cheese for Comet. Dogs love cheese. You can make them do anything for cheese: "Sit" "Stay" Oh man, cracks me up!

Hey, these are just the right size for Kea'we! And if she eats very many they'll give her what I like to call the Pup Tart Trots. Ha Ha Ha.

Now we're talking! This is real kitty food. What a Super Kitty should eat. What a Kitty Loves to eat!
Sushi, yummi, yummi Sushi. I better get enough to share with Makamae and Kumu. Let's see Eel Rolls and Octopus Salad. We can throw away the salad, or maybe mom can eat it. She eats salad too. Sad isn't it?

Fancy Feast! Yeah, right! Haaaaa, Haaaa, Haaaaa, Haaaaa, Ohhhhhh, Ohhhhhh... Gasp...

Ohh that's funny!

Now we need some liquid refreshment. Oh Yeah! You know what I mean! Let's get this party started! Beer simply isn't good enough for my very best friends and family though.

Maybe a Fine Wine? No I might get stains. Then the dreaded bath... shudder...

Oh Yeah! Now This is what I'm talking about! Pure Whole Milk! None of that "Lite" Crap!

I hope she gives me the correct change, counting isn't my best area of expertise. With looks like mine, math isn't on my mind. Let's Go Already!

I feel like talking about my brother and sisters a little bit. I'm so lucky to have such a good home and wonderful family. I'm lucky that I'm not an alley cat or in a shelter and Mom and Dad donate to Best Friends Animal Rescue in Kanab Utah and Rainbow Friends Animal Sanctuary In Kurtistown Hawaii. I cuddle up at night with my sisters Kumu and Makamae or sometimes with my puppy brother Comet. My puppy sister Kea'we wants to play with me too rough so I don't want to play with her.
Ohhh Kitties! What's not to Love?

Comet thought the sun was just toooo bright.

My sister Makamae is a sweetie. Her name means precious and she really is just that. She loves to cuddle. Plays with her toys and dunks them in the water bowl. She loves to play in the water bowl! She doesn't grab the puppy's bottoms or attack them from every available hiding spot. She has a complete Zen outlook on life. She's fun to play with. I love both of my sisters, but I feel safer with my sister Makamae!

Doesn't Kumu look sweet? Kumu's hobbies are basking in the sun, sleeping, eating drywall, eating plants and plotting her escapes. She just loves it when Dad chases her around the back yard. This was an oak tree. Mom & Dad found some big Acorns and planted them all over then decided on a house oak tree. The Bamboo - chomped - check. The Jade plant - chomped - check. Now the Oak Tree - chomped - check. Is there nothing sacred? Just eat the oat grass kitty like the rest of us! Eat the oats!

Makamae has 6 toes on three of her feet and seven toes on the fourth. Since her feet are black it is very hard to photograph but it basically looks like she has a paw and a half. I'm against declawing, naturally, but Makamae may need to have a couple claws removed because she's only 6 months old and has already had ingrown claws. She not only has claws where you would normally expect them on all of her toes but she has extra claws between some of her toes. Auwe!!!

I personally like to keep my tiny little claws razor sharp on Dad's recliner.
